Script development and consultation

So, here’s what we can do. It feels a little clinical, but I swear I have a sense of humor.

The first step is sending me your list of goals along with a script, pitch, pilot, spec, or screenplay. Within 48 hours (unless I'm trapped under something heavy), you'll receive notes embedded into the script. Alternatively, we can discuss the notes over the phone. We'll also create a plan of attack and calendar of deadlines for you, because the fun doesn't stop there...!

Writing is rewriting, and I'll follow your lead. To that end, I'm available for:
  • Reading new drafts and providing feedback as quickly as my schedule allows.
  • Producing table readings, as needed. Includes help with casting.
  • Producing a public reading, as needed. Includes help with casting and marketing. Note: a public reading will only occur if both you and I are in agreement that this is an absolute necessity to your process.
  • Working toward the goal of meeting a major submission, workshop, or production deadline.
  • Full availability via email and cell phone.

Virtual assistance

Here's what I know: writing is a hell of a lot easier when life isn't getting in the way. So, let's clear off your desk, eh?

As a producer, script consultant, girl scout, and aunt to many incredible tiny humans, you can trust me with:
  • Everything listed above in regard to script consultation.
  • Being a sounding board for story and pitch ideas.
  • Researching themes, characters, motives, worlds... I'm the queen of consolidating a possible Google rabbit hole into a one-sheet.
  • Attending rehearsals, readings, workshops, performances in whatever capacity as needed.
  • Vetting original source material for adaptation.
  • Maintaining your calendar and preparing you for upcoming meetings and events.
  • Keeping an eye out for upcoming submission opportunities and preparing the application materials, i.e. artistic statements, bios, essays, etc.
  • Copyediting. To note: I believe wholeheartedly in the Oxford comma.

I work remotely from the wilds of Delaware and travel to Philadelphia and New York City  4x/month. Regardless, I'll be a digital buddy by your side; no query will go unattended for more than an hour.  I check in daily and send weekly ebriefs outlining what's been accomplished, remains outstanding, and should be addressed given your upcoming schedule.
